The Nissan N7 was launched at the Shanghai last week. The Nissan N7 Eve sedan developed jointly by the Japanese automaker with China-owned Dongfeng will enter Chinese market Q2 2025. Nissan’s plan to make a comeback to the Chinese market after 5-year of consecutive sales decline.
The N7 is here and it’s surprisingly affordable – under $17,000 and has a driving range of over 625 km with 268 hp.

Like nearly all global OEMs, Nissan was caught flat-footed in China after the market rapidly shifted to electric vehicles over the past few years.
Japanese automakers, including Nissan and Toyota, have been among the hardest hit as BYD and other domestic automakers continue to cut prices, fueling the EV price war.
Nissan N7 is available in five trims with a driving range up to 625 km on the CLTC cycle. Powered by a 58 kWh LFP battery pack, the base 510 Air offers a range of 510 km to 540 km on the CLTC rating system. The longer-range models feature a 73 kWh LFP battery, good for up to 625 km.
The N7 shares the Tianyan platform, which also underpins the Dongfeng 007. You can see that the N7 closely resembles Dongfeng’s electric sedan, with similar design features such as a sleek LED light bar across the front and a streamlined profile. N7 is 4,930 mm/1,895 mm/1,487 mm, which is slightly longer than the Tesla Model 3 (4,720 mm/1,848 mm/1,442 mm).
Inside, the N7 is loaded with smart driving tech and other features. A 15.6″ infotainment sits at an otherwise minimalistic setup. Using Momenta’s smart driving system, Nissan said the new EV is “equipped with the industry’s first-tier high-end intelligent driving system.” The system offers features such as high-speed navigation, city memory navigation, and full-scenario intelligent parking.
